Appearance
Shizuka is a chestnut peacock leopard appaloosa with white spots. Her muzzle is also white, and her hooves are a dark brown. Her mane and tail are made entirely of the magical, fragrant steam that flows from her teacups! Because she has steam for hair, she can change her hairstyle any time she likes.
She often wears her trusty teatime belt, used to carry anything you could need for a delicious cup of tea: from teaspoons, to tea cups, to tea leaves, and more! She also wears various herbs and flowers, around her ear and the base of her tail, and around her legs. She also wears cotton wraps around her stomach.
Personality
Shizuka is a shy mare who prefers the company of herself and her magical friends over other horses. She enjoys staying home in her cave, rarely venturing out unless it is to find new supplies for her craft. However, she feels a deep sense of loyalty to her herd and its members, and is always ready and able to assist the herd.
Although Shizuka doesn't leave her home much, for those willing to seek her out in her little hideaway cave, she is always happy to assist them with her magic. She loves finding the perfect tea brew for anyone who stops by, and is happy to read their fate.
Magical Gifts
Shizuka's mane and tail are made entirely out of steam. The steam can change aromas to match whatever tea she is currently brewing, or even a smell that matches her mood. Most often, you can find it smelling of Jasmine, her favorite kind of tea!
Shizuka also has unique magical abilities, like other members of her Herd. She is able to both conjure tea out of thin air, user her magic to grow tea plants underground, and she can read anyone's fortune in the tea leaves that she brews for them. Shizuka enjoys using these magical abilities to help others know their futures, but ultimately believes that everyone can make their own fate and isn't bound to any future.
Relationships
Lumilea
Shizuka's snail friends are her closest companions. These little creatures love to make their homes out of her old, chipped, and broken teacups. Shizuka loves to find them the best cups, and in return for her kindness, they often try to help her keep the cave organized and clean, as well as helping with her brewing.
The Name Game
Shizuka is a Japanese name with various meanings. The characters for her name "偲瑞香", when combined, can be interpreted as "bringing to mind good and fortuitous fragrances".
