Appearance
Cade is a young man with light brown hair and light green eyes. He most often is seen in his signature work outfit, which consists of a cream linen shirt, a leather sleeveless jacket, a leather vambrace, and brown leather pants with gold embroidery.[1]
In "Spring Carnival" he wears a red coat with golden trim and a large brown shoulder pad on this left side, and brown chaps trimmed in gold, as well as a brown cowboy hat.
Personality
Cade is the stable master who runs the stables in Trails End. He makes sure that all of the many different horses in the North of North have a place to rest, and is involved in many of Emma's adventures as she seeks the lost herds and protects the horses of North of North.[2]
Cade is always ready to help. When Ivenna sends floods to the North of North, Cade is one of the first people to help stop the flooding with sandbags. He also invites a marching band to play at the Spring Carnival, and helps with decorating for the festivities.[3]
Cade is usually extremely shy and awkward around people, and is only confident around horses.[4]
The Name Game
Cade is a "Traveller," which is a group of traveling Wanderers who live in small groups. His last name is also occasionally spelled "Traveller" as well. However, Cade's family moved to Canter Hollow when he was young, so he did not grow up with or even visit his people. Jillian Frouda is also a Traveller.[4]
Relationships
Shenandoah and Zabarius
Cade's horse friends are Shenandoah and his brother Zabarius. The two often help him with various tasks around North of North, and lend their strength willingly to any job he may have for them.[3]
Noble
Cade has an Ambassador Hound friend named Noble in Bella's Gift and Emma and the Lost Herds.[5]
