Location

Petalhome is located at the heart of the Jasmine Forest, surrounded by the Rose Maze. Outside of the castle is a field of magical flowers that put anyone who comes into contact with them into a peaceful state, content to sit and rest, or play. These flowers are meant to protect the castle from wrongdoers. They are also able to turn living beings into topiaries. [1]

 The Castle

In the heart of Jasmine Forest is Petalhome Castle, a living castle made from a circle of towering trees whose branches have grown together to form walls and rooms. In the central courtyard, the magnificent Mothertree stands tall and proud. The tree's magic gives energy to the forest and its horses. [2] The castle itself is alive, and constantly moving and changing. [1]

Made from four Grandfather Oaks, Petalhome's green road can be traced for miles. It is hidden within the walls of a rose maze that can only be found with the help of the sunstone. Soft flowers carpet the floors and glowing flower lamps hang from the ceiling. An everlasting pool sits in a corner for visiting hippocamps, and the high, bridged ceilings are made for the pegasi. This pool is called the Aquarihome, and the special properties of the pool allow the viewer to see the bottom of the pool with no limitations, despite its depth of hundreds of feet.

At the center of the castle is the throne room where Sunflower magically rested until Emma called her out of her slumber. The massive doors that protect the room are also living like the castle, with branches that reach out and move like arms. The center room also has the magic to turn living beings into flowers, to protect them. It turned Colm into a dandelion, Johan into an unnamed wildflower, and Deru into a tiny version of Drasilmare.
