Appearance
Bathylas is a coral-colored water horse that looks very similar to a seahorse. Her mane is a set of webbed fins, and she has fins instead of hooves.
Personality
The water horse Bathylas is so shy that the only time he emerges is when his magical friends Seastellies are near.[1]

The Name Game
Bathylas's name may refer to the Tagalog deity, Bathala. The name Bathala is supposedly from the Sanskrit word "bhattara," meaning "noble lord." This deity is believed to be a hermaphrodite being that created the universe and was strongly connected to an omen bird. After the arrival of the Spanish missionaries to the Philippines, this god often became combined with the god of Abrahamic beliefs.[3]
