Appearance
Miccosukee is a hippocampus with a blue-green pearlescent body. They are similar in some ways to a seahorse, with their twisting tail, ridged lower body, and translucent navy blue fins that run the length of their body past their shoulders. In their stable art, these fins appear translucent green, like their mane. They have the front legs of a horse. [1]

Miccosukee has great strength, but they are never overbearing. Instead, they are unfailingly gentle.

The Name Game
"The tribe this steed is based on are located in the Florida Everglades. They split from the Seminoles in the 1950s forming their own tribe.
The Miccosukee live in south-central Florida in the middle of the vast marsh known as the Florida Everglades. They own the Miccosukee Indian Reservation and operate a very successful resort and gaming casino.
Traditionally, the Miccosukee lived in permanent dwellings built on dry hillocks in the middle of the marsh. They hunted and fished the bountiful wildlife of the Everglades.
The Reservation hosts a yearly powwow that attracts Native American dancers from all across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. One of the events you can see if you visit the Miccosukee Reservation is alligator wrestling, which is very exciting! Don’t try it at home!"[2]
