Find a peaceful place where you can gather new energy.

Appearance

Mushu is a dark gray mare with tan armor similar to the traditional outfit of a Japanese samurai.[1][2]

Personality

Mushu is a noble horse who can often be found resting or galloping beside the crystal-clear lakes in the high mountains. She is a very peaceful horse, and her friends love to be around her peaceful energy.[2][3]

The Name Game

Mushu is listed as 'Shogun' on Kreutzfeld's company website, meaning this was likely Mushu's original name or a placeholder name during pre-production.[4]

The name Mushu comes from the Chinese dish Mu Shu Pork (木須肉) which was created in the 1960s and is a staple of American Chinese cuisine.[5] In contrast, a Shogun was a title given to Japanese military dictators from 1185 to 1868.[1]

Trivia

The symbol behind Mushu is the Japanese and Chinese symbol for "horse".[6]
