Turn yourself loose and enjoy the freedom to move!

Appearance

Pauma is an iridescent pinkish-white horse, with a multi-colored pastel mane and tail. They also have white feathering near their hooves. Due to their size in comparison to their swordfish friend, Pauma may either be a miniature horse or this particular swordfish is unusually large.[1]

Personality

Pauma enjoys their freedom and values having wide spaces to move in.

Relationships

Swordfish

Pauma has a special connection to the swordfish. However, although Pauma's stable codes call their friend a swordfish, the card art actually indicates a sailfish![2]

The Name Game

“The tribe this steed is based on are located in the Pauma Valley, San Diego County, California. Their name refers to a band of the Luiseno Indians of Southern California. The Luisenos have dwelled in the area around present-day San Diego for 10,000 years. They form a harmonious bond with the land and its wildlife, both animal and vegetable. Springs from the mountains feed the canyon wildlife which has sustained the Luisenos throughout their tribal history.”[3]
