The Name Game

"The tribe this steed is based on lived around Cochiti Lake, New Mexico. They are a subdivision of the Pueblo people. In 1680 they revolted against the Spanish occupation. Pueblo is a Spanish word that means “village.” Pueblo buildings are made of adobe, which is a type of sun-dried brick made of clay or mud mixed with fiber such as straw. They are permanent dwellings. The Pueblo people made textiles and pottery. They practiced a religion that involved prayer sticks made of colorful beads, feathers and fur. The Pueblo people are renowned for their extensive mythology."[4]
