Appearance
Hestia is a warm gray mare with a strong Roman nose, a short black and gray mane and long, neatly-trimmed tail, brindled legs, and four lightly-feathered black socks.[1] She wears a leather bridle with ornate gold accents. On her back is a simple gold blanket with red trim.
Personality
Hestia enjoys sharing the good things in her life with everyone she meets. When she makes someone else happy, she feels happy too! She is also generous, kind, and well liked by her fellow horses.[1]
The Name Game
In Greek mythology, Hestia was the maiden goddess of hearth, architecture, and domesticity in the family, home, and state. Hestia received the first offering at every sacrifice in the household.[2][3]
