Appearance
Moonfairy is a glimmering white pegasus mare with a mane and tail the color of spun gold. She wears a crown made of greenery, with stems reaching up to form the crown's spikes, and leaves to form its base. Near her mane, a single blue butterfly always sits. Her mane and tale also feature small springs of ivy, and a green butterfly rests above where her tail begins. Her wings are white and transparent and featuring swirling and jagged edges, somewhat like a butterfly's wings.
The carousel horse modeled after her in "Spring Carnival" wears an elaborate costume. On her face is a purple butterfly mask, with a decorate light green bridle adorned with red roses, and orange, blue and green butterflies. On her back is a light blue saddle with a ruffled green trim adorned with blue beads and golden greenery details. The saddle is attached with purple and blue cloth strips by her neck and under her belly. On the front, it is clasped with a golden pendant. Her tale is decorated with a large ruffled ribbon in shades of purple, blue, and green. Small purple and blue butterflies can be seen on her tail as well. She also wears crisscrossed golden vambraces on her legs.[1]
Personality
Moonfairy loves to be in the moonlight. Nothing inspires her more than basking in its magical glow.
Magical Gift
She can fly, and her wings give off white sparkles. She appears illuminated at all times.
Relationships
Bella and the Herd Founders
Moonfairy was a filly in Bella's original herd before she was blessed by Sara, alongside Islandar, Airistos, Valeryk, Shahazar, Sunflower, Starlight, Pantheon, Elemyn, and Mustang. This makes them all most likely distantly related.[2]
Sisters
Moonfairy has two sisters, Sunflower and Starlight, who both started their own herds. Moonlight founded the herd named after her when the herds reformed. She still rules that herd, which is comprised of tiny, fairylike unicorns, pegasi, and winged unicorns.[3]
