Danish Copper Icon March-May - Peter Adkison calls Gitte and Poul, wanting to invest in Bella. They initially turn him down, but after Peter calls again, offering to personally fly to Copenhagen to work out a contract with them, they accept.[8]
Danish Copper Icon June 12 - Hidden City Games signs 5-year licensing agreement with Conceptcard to create the “Bella Sara” brand which Hidden City Games will hold exclusive rights to.[9]

First Series Icon October 19 - "First Series" is tested in mass-markets of Seattle and San Diego before being distributed nationwide to Blockbuster, Jewel-Osco, Kmart, The Kroger Co., Safeway, Target, Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, and 7-Eleven stores.[6] [11]
First Series Icon October 22 - Hobby stores voice disapproval over Hidden City Game's choice to make Bella Sara “First Series” mass-market exclusive.[12] Peter Adkison responds by opening Bella Sara to hobby stores capable of advertising and recording weekly sales.[13]

Northern Lights Icon August 28 - Diamond Book Distributors is licensed to distribute Bella Sara products in book stores across the U.S. and Canada.[28]
Northern Lights Icon September 6 - Hydrogen and Hidden City Game’s ad for Bella Sara wins two Telly Awards.[29]
Ancient Lights and Mythology Icon October 2 - “Ancient Lights” is released.[30]
Ancient Lights and Mythology Icon October 4 - Bella Sara is advertised and distributed at Canadian mass-market retailers. Remaining “First Series” and “Second Series” cards are sold along with the new “Northern Lights” set.
Ancient Lights and Mythology Icon November 1 - MasterPieces puzzle company license with Bella Sara to produce puzzles and crafts.[31]
Ancient Lights and Mythology Icon November 6 - Hidden City Games receives $15 million fund from Rustic Canyon Partners and Trinity Ventures. Michael Song of Rustic Canyon Partners and Gus Tai of Trinity Ventures join Hidden City Game’s board of directors.[32]

Ancient Lights and Mythology Icon November 27 - Limited Too and Justice are licensed to distribute Bella Sara products. Dreamer promo is offered for a limited time.[33]

Ancient Lights and Mythology Icon December 19 - Hudson Group is licensed to distribute Bella Sara products at Hudson News, Hudson Booksellers, and Kids Works stores in airports.[34]
Ancient Lights and Mythology Icon December 28 - G.O.B. Holding ApS is founded by Gitte Odder Brændgaard in Tranekær, Denmark. The company would later be renamed to The Bella Sara Company ApS in 2015.[35]

2008

Ancient Lights and Mythology Icon February 5 - Phil Trumbo is named Art Director of Interactive Entertainment for Hidden City Games. "Trumbo’s primary responsibility will be shaping the look and feel of Bella Sara Online, the family-friendly, horse-themed online world for girls featuring hundreds of virtual horses, a variety of age-appropriate casual games, customizable cottages, puzzles, coloring books, interactive stories and more."[37]

Treasures Icon February 5 - PorchLight Entertainment partners with Hidden City Games to create an animated Bella Sara TV series and "long-form film content". 26 22-minute episodes are planned that will follow the adventures of Emma Roland and her horse, Wings as they explore North of North's "magical horses, wolf-riders, goddesses and gods, and a collection of unforgettable characters that comprise this amazing and unique mythology. Along the way, Emma will discover her true destiny and why she belongs in North of North.”[43]
Treasures Icon May 5 - Jakks Pacific is licensed by ITV Global Entertainment Ltd to produce plush toys, figurines, dolls, play-sets, dress-up, kites and stationery in North America.[44]
Treasures Icon May 12 - "Royalty" is announced along with the new ticket cards.[45]

Royalty Icon June 2 - Bella Sara is to be a Bronze Sponsor for The Appaloosa Horse Club's (ApHC) 2009 World Championship Appaloosa Youth Show. Trading cards will be handed out during the show's classes and activities.[46]
Royalty Icon July 9 - Waterbury Garment L.L.C. is licensed through ITV Global Entertainment Ltd to produce Bella Sara sleepwear in North America.[47]

  • ExactTarget is chosen by Hidden City Games to enhance online communication through welcome notes, birthday greetings, and a monthly email newsletter announcing the latest product and game information.[48]
  • Hidden City Games donates Bella Sara PC games to the Girls Horse Club's Fiction Competition. The games will be handed out to winners of the event.[49]

Royalty Icon August 19
  • Hidden City Games' president of international business, licensing and merchandising, George Stetar, oversees global licensing efforts to bring the Bella Sara brand in-house.[50]
  • Bella Sara Adventures is reveled by Hidden City Games and expected to launch by the next week. Customizable avatars will not be available until early 2010.[51]
Royalty Icon September 22 - Bella Sara Adventures receives honors as a 2009 recipient of the National Parenting Publications Awards (NAPPA).[52]

Bella's Ball Icon February 3 - Hidden City Games officially changes name to Hidden City Entertainment. CEO Peter Adkison states: “We are excited about further growing the Bella Sara brand, especially through licensing, and look forward to the launch of our much awaited boys collectibles line.”[59]
Bella's Ball Icon February 11 - Jakks Pacific announces Bella Sara Toys, Mom and Baby Toys, and Bella's Ball Playset, all expected to be available in spring.[60]
Sunflowers Icon March 2 - “Sunflowers” is released.[61]

Sunflowers Icon May 06 - MagicMarket & Twenty Five S.r.l. (MagicMarket) of Italy is licensed to distribute and market Bella Sara cards in Italy.[63]
Sunflowers Icon May 11 - Hidden City Entertainment is to attend the Licensing International Expo in Las Vegas. The Bella Sara booth, #4707, will exhibit current and upcoming international product launches.[64]
Sunflowers Icon May 27 - TOP-TOY/ K.E. Mathiasen A/S license with Bella Sara through Kidz Entertainment/EEMC to produce a variety of merchandise including "book bags and book wrappers, towels, bed sets, T-shirts, sleeping bags, notebooks, and stationery sets". The products are set to release by the fall across Scandinavia, Germany, and Benelux.[65]
Sunflowers Icon June 01 - ROSMAN of Russia partners with Bella Sara to publish, distribute, and market card series throughout Russia.[63]
Moonfairies Icon June 4 - “Moonfairies” is released.[66]
Moonfairies Icon June 7 - ROSMAN of Russia continues to work with Bella Sara to create other merchandise including 'novels, stationery, and a fan-based magazine'. "Starlights" is expected to be released by fall. Kidz Entertainment/EEMC is selected to broker future licensing agreements in Russia and C.I.S. countries.[67]
Moonfairies Icon June 14 - Gipsy Toys of France license with Bella Sara through MJA Licensing to produce plushies. A first set is expected to release by fall.[68]
Moonfairies Icon June 21 -IMRPIMA license with Bella Sara through MJA Licensing to produce wall stickers in four large-size varieties by fall in French and Belgian markets.[69]

  • Sahinler license with Bella Sara through MJA Licensing to produce apparel for the French marketplace by early 2011.[71]
  • Rizzoli USA license with Bella Sara through Bennett Branding to produce 2012 Bella Sara-themed wall calendar in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, and Chile. The calendars are expected to be available by the holiday season of 2011.[72]
  • Handcraft Manufacturing Corporation of the U.S. is licensed to produce Bella Sara underwear, bras, and undershirts in the United States by early 2011.[73]
Starlights Icon November 18 - Bella Sara's Gitte Braendgaard is to attend Salon du Cheval in Paris on December 10, 11, and 12. MJA Licensing will be managing the Bella Sara booth during the event.[74]

2011

  • Wireless Developer Agency (WDA) of North America license with Bella Sara to produce wallpapers, animations, ringtones, and video streaming for wireless devices.[75]
  • WVG Medien GmbH of Germany is licensed to distribute Bella Sara Tales DVDs in Germany. The DVDs are expected to launch during Q1 of 2011.[76]
  • HFN of France is licensed through MJA Licensing to produce an action Bella Sara board game to be released by the end of the year.[77]
  • Funny Farm of Germany license with Hidden City Entertainment to market and distribute Bella Sara cards in Germany.[78]

  • Bella Sara Happy Meal Toys are announced.[79]
  • Hidden City Entertainment is to appear at the Bella Sara booth at the Nuremberg Toy Fair between February 3 – 8 in Halle 10.0 / B-13.[80]
Four Bella Sara toy horses were released in French McDonalds Happy Meals.

Spring Carnival Icon February - “Spring Carnival” is released.
Spring Carnival Icon March - Rosman-Press releases the 1st issue of the Russian Bella Sara Magazine. A total of 10 issues are released throughout the year.
Spring Carnival Icon March 7 - Kelley and Company is licensed to manufacture Bella Sara-themed Water Bottles and travel mugs. The products are expected to be available in tack stores, feed stores, and internet equine sites throughout the U.S. and Canada in spring.[81]

  • CCI Shoes of France license with Bella Sara through MJA Licensing to create themed shoes in France. The shoes are expected to launch later in the summer.[82]
  • Big Ben of France license with Bella Sara through MJA Licensing to create a new 3DS video game to be released later in the year.[83]
  • Media Service Zawada of Poland is licensed to distribute cards and produce Bella Sara magazines, books, and Bella Sara Tales DVDs in Poland.[84]

2015

Foals and Foals 2017 Icon August 1 - G.O.B. Holding ApS is renamed to the Bella Sara Company ApS .[89]

2016

Foals and Foals 2017 Icon The Classic Bella Sara Website is temporarily shut down and restored. Gitte claims updates to the site are coming, but none are actually given. The Bella Sara Company ApS is confirmed to be the new company name. Website temporarily shuts down again, Gitte claims the website was ported to her in Denmark and is now under her control.[90][91]
Foals and Foals 2017 Icon "Foals - 2017 Promos" boosters are released to secure card distributors.

2017

Foals and Foals 2017 Icon September 2019 - Kidabord, a French branding company that handles design as well as fabrication, creates Bella Sara school supplies including agendas, backpacks, etc. for the 2019 school year.[94]
Foals and Foals 2017 Icon 2019 to Early 2020 - The website is still up, but the game is practically unplayable with many glitches, deteriorating features, and broken captcha functions.[95]
Foals and Foals 2017 Icon Blue Ocean Entertainment releases 6 issues of the German Bella Sara Magazine.

2020

Foals and Foals 2017 Icon April - The Bella Sara App is released replacing the Classic Bella Sara Website (including stables and Bella Sara Adventures).[96][97]
