"First Series"
In June 2006, Conceptcard signed a licensing agreement with Hidden City Games of Seattle, Washington, to publish and market Bella Sara, the successor of the Bella card series in Scandinavia.[1]
“First Series” is the 1st series of the new Bella Sara brand and was introduced in October 2006 as a North America-exclusive release.[2]
Appearance
"First Series" cards are silver cards with white stars along the border similar to "Bella Silver" cards.
There are a total of 64 total cards: 36 common cards, 9 rare cards, 10 energy cards and 9 foil cards. [3] [4] Also included are activity cards that include various games that can be played with the cards and fun facts. [5]
Foil cards have a rainbow "Scratch Star" design along the card's background.
The series was the first to place online activation codes underneath the main card art and provide copyright information for both the card Artists and Conceptcard. These activation codes linked to early versions of the website, and activated horse stables and some mini games.[2]
Name Game
Since this was the very first release of the Bella Sara brand, the series was simply called "Bella Sara".
Boosters
"First Series" cards come in booster packs that contain 1 rules card and 5 trading cards. Shiny cards are always placed at the end of the pack.
Types of Boosters
Boosters are available in single blister packs, booster boxes, and Value Boxes.

Trivia
- Initially, "First Series" was only distributed in mass market chains, but after receiving criticism from hobby store owners about this decision, Bella Sara became available in both mass market and hobby stores.[6] The series was so popular in the U.S. that it sold out completely by late April, 2007. Multiple store owners remarked on how well the product sold with young girls.[7]
