The “Magical Chibis” series is the 19th Bella Sara series introduced in June, 2012, as an international release.  The series accompanied the Magical Chibis Figurines toy set.

Magical Chibis is drastically different from all other Bella Sara series both in appearance and game-play. The series also did not see an individual update to the Classic Bella Sara Website: no coloring pages, desktop wallpapers, or even an official card checklist were included with the series' release. Due to these major differences, some collectors do not consider "Magical Chibis" to be part of the main Bella Sara series and view it as a one-off sub-series instead.

Appearance

"Magical Chibis" cards are pale green cards with a hot pink ribbon along the border and a yellow "Chibis" logo in the upper left corner. In the upper right corner of each card is the royal crest of the herd an individual character belongs to. 

Unlike other series, "Magical Chibis" artwork only takes up half of the card. The bottom half includes a quote and playing symbol. Shiny cards have a unique playing symbol.

There is a total of 112 cards: 55 common cards, 55 foil cards, and 2 promo cards.

The Name Game

The Chibis series is named after the chibi appearance of the card art. Chibi (チビ/ちび) is a Japanese slang word meaning "short" and is often used to describe a specific art style including small, rounded figures with large eyes and a cute aesthetic. It is most popular in anime and manga style art.

Trivia

Based on promotional images found on the Bella Sara website, before its release, the series was meant to have an accompanying app known as "Chibiville" or "Chibi World." The games features included creating a "village" with your chibis, guarding them from wolves, and learning to speak their unique "language of peace.

Although the physical game was set to be released in 2012, it was presumably cancelled and no game was ever released.
