"Baby Bella"
The “Baby Bella” series is the 8th Bella Sara set first introduced in October 2008[1] as an international release.[2] [3]
Series Promotion
Prior to "Baby Bella's" release in North America, Hidden City Games advertised the series through two different retailer promotions.
Family Reunion
The "Family Reunion" event spanned from October thru December and featured four promo cards: parents Rimfaxe & Aurora, their foals Dawn and Dusk, and their teacher Wildflower. Rimfaxe & Aurora's card was given to customers who bought Baby Bella booster packs at participating stores from October thru November. Dusk and Dawn were free to those who participated in the "Family Game Night" event at participating stores during December. Wildflower was available in the 2008 November/December issue of Discovery Girls Magazine.[4]

Postcards
A set of four 4x6" postcards were given out to customers at participating stores. The exact date of this promotion is unknown. On the back of each card is a reusable code players could use to unlock bonuses on the Classic Bella Sara Website.
Story
The families of North of North are growing, including the legendary Bella's! "Baby Bella" anticipates the exciting arrival of Bella and Bello's filly, Bellissa, who would be born and available for free to users on the Classic Bella Sara Website only in December, 2008.[5] To celebrate, mothers and fathers from previous series come together to show off their precious foals, and the teachers of said foals share their valuable wisdom. When an entire family was collected on the Classic Bella Sara Website, special rewards could be unlocked.
Appearance
"Baby Bella" cards are green with tiny red apples dotting the border. The series features the many couples of North of North and their offspring. Single horses with no foals were also included as " Teacher Cards".
In North America, there is a total of 133 cards: 42 common cards, 37 rare cards, 12 toy cards, 37 foil cards, and 4 promo cards.[6] Also included in card packs was a checklist card featuring a list of cards and rarities. North American foil cards have a repeating rainbow "Heart" design along the card's background.
In Europe, there are 133 cards: 80 common cards, 12 toy cards, 37 foil cards, and 4 promos.[7] German releases, however, only have 131 cards as 2 promos are not included in its release.[8] International foil cards have a repeating polka dot design along the card's background.
Boosters
"Baby Bella" cards come in booster packs that contain 1 checklist card and 7 trading cards: 5-6 common cards, 1-2 rare cards, and 0-1 energy cards. Shiny cards are always placed at the end of the pack.
Boosters are available in single blister packs, booster boxes (36 packs), and Value Boxes (4 packs).

Trivia
Baby Bella introduced a number of new concepts to the series, including [9]:
- Horse families (which changed the layouts of the cards to add more lore information)
- Toy cards instead of varied energy cards
- Teacher horses that educate foals
- Dual horse cards for couples / parents
Baby Bella was also the fist series to picture the legendary couple of Bella and Bello on the same card. [10]
